Dr Major and Professor Bates both presented papers. As part of the conference, Danny Flynn's Juxtapositions prints from New Delhi were displayed, alongside art work from other artists drawing on the theme of indenture in their work.
Concluding the two and a half day conference, postgraduate scholars were invited to a three hour workshop with senior academics in the field, including Professor Crispin Bates, to discuss the challenges of working in the archives, and their own research.
